What People Say

Most Liked

The standout feature at Hawaiian Sun BBQ is the incredible variety of Hawaiian plates. Regulars rave about the spam musubi and loco moco, which deliver authentic flavors that leave a lasting impression. Many patrons appreciate the generous portions—ordering a mini often provides leftovers for another meal. The garlic shrimp and Hawaiian BBQ mix often receive high praise. The mac salad complements the meals perfectly, and a healthy option for broccoli helps balance the plate. The reasonable prices are a huge hit, especially given the generous servings. Fast service means meals are ready before you know it, making it an excellent choice for lunch breaks.

Most Disliked

While the experience is largely positive, some diners may find the seating a bit tight during peak hours. Busy times can lead to a wait, particularly on weekends. A few patrons noted that the decor, while tropical, could feel a bit cluttered for those who prefer a minimalist approach. Additionally, some first-timers may find the extensive menu overwhelming since each dish looks tempting! However, those who come regularly know to ask staff for their favorites to ease decision-making.

This place is awesome! They have a wide selection of Hawaiian plates lunches. The mini is plenty for 1 to 2 meals and the regular size is enough for 3. We tried garlic shrimp, Hawaiian BBQ mix and chicken cutlet and gravy. All was good, but the BBQ was a standout. Mac salad was great and lover option for broccoli. Prices are so reasonable for what you get. Staff was also so nice and accommodating. Highly recommend. Clean and tidy.

Delicious food, great price. Person that served us gave great service. The ceiling decoration is very pretty. The restaurant is cozier than it looks from the outside. I appreciate that the drinks aren't too expensive. I'm told it's similar prices to Hawaii. Definitely a good local spot. Food came out quick both times I visited.

It's not just food - it's people! After having an amazing dinner at this place, I dropped our passports on the seat next to me. That evening both my husband and I received a message on Facebook messenger from owners telling us that they have my passport and will meet us wherever and whenever it's convenient for us!!! Owner's son met us at 6:30 am to return our passports! I am beyond grateful for these wonderful people who saved us unimaginable trouble at the border! Thank you

I've been here several times with no complaints. My Hawaiian friend highly recommended the food here. Today I enjoyed the mochiko chicken as it is was moist chicken and a crispy light coating. Other local places overdo the batter and oil. One hour later at home it was still crunchy. Large bowl of Saimin soup with wonton was flavorful and not salty. Also had noodles with sweet tender pieces of kalbi beef. I'm not a big fan of fried noodles but it was good.
